A bit more accurately:

1 hour+ (50 miles) from Wolfsburg to Hannover
1 h 30 from Hannover to London by air
11 h 30 (BA) or 12 h (Virgin) from London to Tokyo by air arriving 9, 10 or 11 am Japanese time
2 h 30 from Tokyo to Kyoto by fast train (or 1 h 10 by air to Osaka + 1 h by bus to Kyoto)

So whichever way you look at it, that's at least 16 hours of travelling, not to mention a 9 hour time difference!

Whoever said tennis players had it easy? LOL

You forgot the trip to the consulate in Picadilly first (carrying all the baggage) to get passsport visa stamped which is required for professional sport, apparently.

Oh, so that's why they're going via London. That's absolutely crazy, I hope it doesn't end up all being for nothing!

I think Rotterdam last week may have started a trend, e.g.

e.g.

- (Q) Sorensen (yes, the token Irishman!) won here, i.e. Wolfsburg
- Stakovskiy won Zagreb ATP, the first LL to win an ATP since 1991!
- it's Darcis (!!) v Soderling in the Memphis ATP Final
- Almagro won Acapulco ATP
- four Qs in the QFs in Faro, one of them won it
- no seed in the bottom half in Harlingen survived R1

Sorensen is 1/2 Irish 1/2 german.

I guess he feels at home in Allemagne! Well done to him!
