Bloomers & Skups defeated 3rd seeds Johan BRUNSTROM / Frederik NIELSEN (SWE / DEN) 76(3) 46 10-7 Sundays final will be against the no 4 seeds C. BALL /I. VAN DER MERWE.
Great result but has that done for Kyoto (which judging by the qualifying draw is very weak) for Bloomers even if they given him a late start, I wonder, or was Kyoto already done for after yesterday's win?
I want those two getting singles points!! (demanding, I know)

Hope these continuing good doubles results don't convince the Skupster to give up on the singles any time soon. Think one or two too many Brits have been a bit hasty in becoming "doubles specialists" when they have a slightly poor run of form in the singles.

Doubles final not until Sunday it seems. Well done Wolfsburg Challenger, you really know how to mess with players schedules. On the other hand in the Cherbourg Challenger, Lugassy is in the doubles semi-finals, and he's not even on the schedule for Saturday!
Oh how pathetic, couldn't they move it knowing that one of the players has to get to Japan? I there's ever been a good excuse to pull out of the doubles, they've just handed them one!

That's 13.00 CET, so I'm a little worried by the fact that the flights from Munich to Tokyo leave at 15.25 CET! I wonder how they're going to manage it ... Maybe Frankfurt-Osaka (the nearest airport to Kyoto) leaving around 11.00 CET on Monday, arriving very early on Tuesday morning after an 11 hour flight. It doesn't sound good, does it ...

So Ken is going to Japan purely to play doubles? Is there other events out in Asia in subsequent weeks then?

11 hours, but if they're flying from Heathrow, it'll be about 2 hours to Heathrow, 12 (I'm guessing) to Tokyo then another flight (or bullet train ride?) to Osaka, which is the nearest airport to Kyoto.

1 hour+ (50 miles) from Wolfsburg to Hannover 1 h 30 from Hannover to London by air 11 h 30 (BA) or 12 h (Virgin) from London to Tokyo by air arriving 9, 10 or 11 am Japanese time 2 h 30 from Tokyo to Kyoto by fast train (or 1 h 10 by air to Osaka + 1 h by bus to Kyoto)
So whichever way you look at it, that's at least 16 hours of travelling, not to mention a 9 hour time difference!
Whoever said tennis players had it easy? LOL
