RE: Week 9 - Challenger (€30000) - Wolfsburg, Germany

bloomfield drew the 8th seed, which is probs the best draw to defend his quarter final, although it being the worst short term.

mjd - how did you know Richard would draw Stadler? (the only seed a qualifier could draw)

Oh well, he'll just have to beat him again, like he did here last year 7-6(4) 3-6 and in Helsinki in November 4-6 6-1 7-6(3)! Apart from that, Stadler has a good record against Brits - he beat Josh twice last year and Boggo in AO qualifying from a set down.

He's only playing doubles tomorrow, with Ken obviously, 5th on Center (2nd after 17.30 GMT)

Live scores and strippers ... you'd never get that in Nottingham or Manchester. LOL (I hesitate to say Surbiton, but we used to get live scores from there)

Call me sad, but I know which service I'd rather they provided. (and yes, I mean the live scores!)

Liverpool's in Lancashire! Witness the cricket in Aigburth every summer. I know technically it's not any more, but that's like saying Manchester's not in Lancashire because it's in Greater Manchester. I was under the impression Ken went to the Star of David High School in Childwall - is that not so?

Merseyside does not have a tennis team so Skupski would represent Lancashire if he chose to play County Cup, just like a player from Manchester would.

Ken and Richard won doubles after a slow start 3-6 6-1 10-5

Richard plays his 1st round singles against Simon Stadler Tuesday around 3.30 GMT

Amazingly although there are only 2 courts in action thay don't start play until 1.00 CET

Kens from Liverpool. He's heavily involved in the Calderstones Park tournament that happens in June every year now. Its just as someone has said Liverpool doesn;t have a tennis team so he plays for Lancashire.

But when he takes trophies to his home, they will go to Liverpool coz that's where he lives like!

What a furore this has caused! laughing.gif

mjd - I know, amazingly late start for a R1 day - maybe they have another party tonight?

I think we should see Bloomers on at about 13.30 GMT - not sure if you missed the 1 before the 3 or got the timezones the wrong way round, but I don't want you to end up missing it!

sheddie - are you sure you read my post right? lol
