British Tour Corby

Watched Jag Sagoo win impressively today against Laurence Head. Have to make him favourite to defend his title. Really can't believe he hasn't picked up more than 1 ranking point in the 12 months since last year's event, Michael Hayes up next for him in the quarters.

Number 2 seed Matt Bright had to fight through in 3 sets against Farquharsson, who played pretty well, and Chris Llewellyn, last year's finalist, looked in fairly good form, going through in straight sets against Anthony Davison.

Quarters and semis tomorrow, should be intersting.

Sagoo v Llewellyn in a repeat of last year's final. Should be good, Elliot v Stoop in the ladies final

Jag won 6-1 7-5. Extremely impressive, according to Craig at Corby tennis centre he served over 70% of first serves and I can tell you they were absolute bombs. Groundstrokes were incredibly accurate and powerful too and all this after spending over 4 and a half hours on court yesterday. I heard from somebody there that Jag was injured again last year for around 3 months and that if he could just stay fit for a good few months straight he is confident of moving up the rankings. Also, apparently his favourite surface is clay.

Georgie won in 3, can't remember exact score. She looked a little rusty, but was brilliant in parts. Looking forward to her return to the tour.

Drawsheet says 6-1 7-5, pretty sure I'm not going insane

What are you trying to say John...that the BBc got it wrong !!!

I think it is highly likely that Jagdev played like a moron and scraped the win and due to your obvious obsession with him invented the 6-1 7-5 and even manged to tamper with the LTA scoresheet...you should be ashamed !!! wink

Certainly what you say seems more likely than the BBC getting something wrong. Has this ever happened before? BBC usually 100% accurate
