Edward, while we may still not be totally confident of your top 500 place yet, (though hopefully certain by tomorrow afternoon!) we can definitely confirm that you're a top 500 doubles player!! Today's win takes you to roughly 480, while taking the title (again) would mean 460 or so. Double congratulations.
Seator played Accardo at the Italy F31 in 2007 winning 6-1 1-0 ret on his way to the final so lets hope for a similar outcome this time around (including the finalist bit)
hi, lack of internet on my computer is the reason behind my lack of posts. And i reply to someone saying i take my parents with me, thats ridiculous! My dad being in pakistan was a nice co-incidence. My mother is deffinatly not with me in benin thank god. Yeah played good and solid against the number 3 seed. He was serving so well, every time i go a break point he served an ace. Tough but deffinatly taking mental postatives out of these weeks.
My next futures will be bath, where hopefully i might get a w.c to main draw for winning the british tour before i came out here. See what paul has to say, he said he could consider me.
hope you get that wildcard fitzy, thanks for giving us a little more insight into you match, glad you're taking the positives though
Unfortunately the news from Benin today isn't good, Edward lost 61 46 16 to Accardo, the 5th seed. Which means the top500 place is still touch and go.(but that's unimportant, right )

Today wasnt a good day, I won the first set pretty easily, similar to Italy when I played the guy. Again a loose start to the second gave him some belief, from then on he played pretty good and it was so hot today i struggled to stay in there physicaly especially after the 3set match on wed. Was very disappointing to take a loss today as I was on top of him but let it slip myself. He played pretty good to be fair started hitting out alot after the first set, but still shouldnt of let it slip.

Hi Fitzy - thanks for posting again, and sorry about that - I hoped it would be obvious that it was just a silly take on the comment on the Ogbe site where the Nigerians were bemoaning the fact that 'all' of the overseas participants had brought their parents with them! I'm pretty sure virtually everyone reading it realised that it wasn't meant to mean you really had.
Edward - bad luck today, it must have been horrible to let it slip after feeding him a breadstick in the 1st, but at least you've scored a few points both weeks, it's all progress. Disappointing, but how you manage to play at all in that kind of heat is beyond me!
Anyway, it wouldn't be the same if we weren't left in suspense until Monday week about the 500 thing - unfortunately, James is in the same boat after losing today too.

Hi Fity and Edward, I wondered when you both expected to compete in the UK next? Also, would you expect to be around for any of the grass court season here or is that too far away to plan?
Thanks for the comments on the match today Edward - at least you are consistantly making the QFs of these events and you seem to have the ability to take these players on and hopefully next week in Ivory Coast you'll have another good week and confirm that elusive top 500 place
Andrew - hope you do get the WC spot in Bath, and from what I remember almost all the British tour winners do seem to get a WC so I'd say you'd have a good chance of it. Good luck to you back in the UK anyway and hope to see some more ranking points added to the won you won this week - well done on that btw
