Well Fitzy did have a dire draw given how weak qualifying was in general. He's first in line for a LL place.

MD1 :

531 GBR SEATOR, Edward [4] v Q 1494 USA BARTH, George

626 CIV SANON, Valentin [6] v 1048 GBR BAINS, Maniel

No LL so far...unless someone pulls out prior to their match starting....Fitzy will be playing dubs only.

(Wolf posted the MD1 before but thought I would update with the LL position...or lack of it).

unlucky again for Maniel, bit of a strange socreline that.
And fitzy gains revenge by spanking Ash, thats another point on the board for him and it looks like a tough one in the next round but he comes off as someone that thrives on being the underdog. Pretty routine from Seator, the scorelines atm from him seem so comfortable in the first few rounds.

Indeed. Kind of expect it from Ed now (which is some kind of positive testament really), but another ranking point for Fitzy is mighty fine.

Now that's what I like to see, a Brit taking full advantage of a LL, well done Fitzy! What a turnaround from the FQR loss too, really convincing scoreline. smile.gif

Edward is now effectively on 51 points, that's all I'm saying. wink

Yeah todays singles was pretty routine. A match I was always in control of without having to play well, the doubles yest tho was an epic, being 7-3 down in the super-breaker and saving a few match points. Was good to come through and the the 150ish$ pays for the room for the week as we have 3 in the room.
51 points does that mean if I win tomorrow i go inside 500?
