ATP - Rotterdam (€824,000) - R1: Murray vs Haase

Worth a massive 300 points to the winner, this one! thumbsup.gif   Andy, as has already been reported, is the sixth seed & in the same half of the draw as Davy-donkey (2).  If he gets past Haase, a WC, he will face the German, Michael Berrer, who earlier saw off his compatriot (& a qualifier), Matthias Bachinger, 3 & 2 earlier.

Meanwhile, the first seed has already bitten the dust!  The poor run of form of  Juan Carlos Ferrero (7) seems to be continuing:  he has just capitulated 5 & 1 to the Russian qualifier, Teimuraz Gabashvili! disbelief.gif

Thanks for the report. For some reason, 'bash is always a good bet for a R1 upset.

I believe that has rather a lot to do with a bet, sleeping in a shed, and a certain beloved administrator of ours biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Hopefully Andy can go all the way and get those 300 points, though for a moment there I read that this match was worth 300 points ashamed

Incase anyone doesn't know, there is a live feed link to this tournament via Andy's web site. Sorry if you all know this already, I've only just found it. clueless.gif

Thanks for passing that on, Helki; I, for one, didn't know.

You're welcome. There are two to chose from and it's the second option that works for me.woswmann18.gif It's a good picture too.

It's the one that works for me, too!  Well spotted, H! worship.gif  Definitely a good picture. thumbsup.gif  All we workers need now is for him to play the odd evening match and/or make to the SF and final... wink

*  Looks as though the fourth seed, Youzhny, could now be on his way out courtesy of Tipsarevic.  At any rate, Tipsy's about to serve for the match... shocked.gif

Edited in 5-10 minutes later:  He's done it!  Youzhny out on his @rse, 6-7(3) 4-6! disbelief.gif

Unfortunately, I am, so I know exactly what you mean - though I can't remember any more of the lyrics... ashamed

No sign of Andy in tomorrow's OoP, so I presume he plays his first match on Wednesday...

I can get as far as, "If I can help somebody, as I pass along," then I get stuck until the last line which is "then my living will not be in vain."

See, I'm older than the lot of you. . .

top hit from google is this - don't want to quote it in case dredging up from the memory is too much like fun.

The seeds are dropping like flies in the opposite half of the draw to Andy's:  the N° 8, Baggy, has just succumbed to Robin Söderling 3-6 6-3 4-6!  Nadal's the only one still left in the top half!!! disbelief.gif

Typical - even when Riff-Raff gets a tough-looking draw for a change, it ends up looking easy before R1 is over! LOL

I would think, if they get to meet, Soderling might cause Rafa some problems on indoor hard. No?
