Her opponent in the final Vesna Manasieva is a shooting star, so will be tough. I have to say that I find this success bittersweet, as Anne has already bagged a lot of 25K titles so should really be concentrating much more heavily on bigger tournaments with a greater number of stronger players like Manasieva.
That's true, but the question is will it help her stay in the top 100? The answer at the moment appears to be no, as Kerber has a 4-16 record in the last 6 months or so, and will therefore fall out of the top 100 before long unless there is a dramatic improvement.
What's been said here may be true, but I think Anne has had the odd shot at bigger tournaments and in the meantime this is her bread and butter and winning these tournaments will help maintain and improve her ranking. No point in gambling her whole year on constantly playing bigger tournaments and dropping right away from the position she is in.

Anne was defending 28 points in February: a 12 and a 16. This should just about cover those as they drop off, as she has a non-scoring 4 pointer that becomes scoring. Any further points above a 4 will then give progress.
Just for note, this is her first 25K of the year. She has been in a 75K, two WTA Qualies, and the AO qualies. And fed cup, of course.
