Interesting planning by our top doubles players - M&M, H&H, J&J - perhaps we should suggest to Alex and Jamie B that they team up, too?

they played together at Queens last year, does that count?

I don't remember them playing together at wimbers but that doesn't mean they didn't.

.. tho' I have managed to work out what 'btw' and 'imo' mean since I began reading this site.

I often wondered whether 'imoen' was derived from that ... ?

if you keep asking questions how can I work? (can you seem my enthusiasm for the subject of the day?)

imoen is the name of a character in a book that my friend wrote (unpublished but well loved amongst her readers!) so not derived from imo at all smile.gif

and age has nothing to do with understanding text language, I dislike it personally. I understand it all but it takes at least twice as long to read and translate. though I am a fan of 'lol' biggrin.gif

boggo played with safin at queens 07
he played with jamie at wimbers 07, lost 1st round to kubot and frystenburg in 4 sets

looking way back, he actaully played dubs with Novak, in april 04! i wonder how old novak was then!! they lost

boggo actaully played his 1st pro event in 2000, which he lost :

GB F11 Spencer, Kyle (GBR) 2-4 5-4(5) 4-5(6) 4-5(10) thats a very strange scoreline!

Ver' interesting; did the character imoen spell her name without a capital, too, or are you taking poetic licence?
Thanks for letting me down so softly re age/textese!
... and much as I'd like to continue this conversation, some of us have work to do! I've a chess tournament to run on Friday, with lots of preparatory paperwork, so au revoir.

if poetic licence is another name for laziness then yes wink.gif

organising a chess tournament sounds fun, paperwork for it less so, but, enjoy anyway!

Yeah ... ! James and Jamie win 6-7, 6-3, 10-6. Well done, lads!

That's 545 Euros and 19 points each. Up next are more Frenchmen, Wild Cards Jerome Haehnel and Julien Jeanpierre.

And they are back in action tomorrow: third match on the centre court, with play in the first (a singles) kicking off at 11.00 GMT. pray.gif
