RE: Week 8 - Challenger ($85,000 + H) - Besançon, France

Has anyone noticed how they've spelled 'quarter' on the Livescore box - 'quater'.

Now, where have we seen that before?

Aucks and Del are 4-3, up with a break, and have just missed two bp's to go 5-2 up.

Splendid win for the boys! clap.gif  Looks as though they hardly had to break stride! thumbsup.gif  Only the second seeds to down tomorrow (not before 15.00 GMT on Court 1) & they're in the final! wink  pray.gif

It's a very common mistake on sites for lesser tournaments in non-English-speaking countries, DJ, presumably because they can't afford to employ a native English-speaker to ensure that everything's tickety-boo! frustrated.gif  Some of their efforts can be quite funny, but that one's intensely annoying! steaming.gif  But as an ex-professional translator, I would say that, wouldn't I?  wink  Even so, I could cheerfully strangle the individuals who inflict such indignities on my mother tongue! rage.gif  I also disapprove of the absence of a hyphen, but that's the Yankee influence, I'm afraid... hmm

I'm off-line a couple of hours and it's all over. rofl.gif I thought they must have had a walkover, but it was just an easy win. clap.gif Same again tomorrow. please.gif

True, but not as bad as "titlist", which was all over the ATP site at the weekend. I realise it's said tight-list rather than tit-list, but it sounds like something an ornithologist (or a Sun photographer!) might have written down!

Anyway, great to see such a convincing and quick win. Hopefully it'll leave them feeling good when they face the tougher challenge tomorrow.

Doh! Boggo's conqueror Chardy took the 1st set off Gicquel 6-2 then retired at 3-3 down in the 3rd, leaving Gicquel as the ONLY seed in the QFs!

I think so, it looks like he'd have had a much better chance in any of the other 3.5 quarters of the draw, especially once Ancic withdrew - one of 5 withdrawals so far.
