Kinsella is defo worth more than his 1 ranking point!

He'll make the main draw here and i think Thornley will as well, i have doubts about brassington though!

Wardy in the main is the man to watch this week! come on James the top 500 awaits

Spoke to Kinsella at last year's Manchester Challenger and seems nice guy. Hits the ball very hard but his shots look too coached rather than natural. This meant that he ended up hitting a lot of balls out where a bit more composure would have kept it in

Kyle Bassington WR 1401 lost to Pavel Katliarou (Blr) (4) WR 867 by 6-1 6-4 cry
Sean Thornley (13) WR 1219 beat Ernesto Alfonso (Cub) UNR by 6-4 6-2 smile
Jonathan Kinsella WR 1491 beat Carlos Galvez (Ecu) UNR by 6-7(5) 6-3 6-4 smile

FQR
Sean Thornley (13) WR 1219 lost to Jimy Szymanski (VEN) WR 1401 by 6-3 6-1 ashamed
Jonathan Kinsella WR 1491 lost to Luis Javier Cuellar-Contreras (CUB) UNR by 6-2 6-2 ashamed

R1
James Ward WR 529 v (6) Milan Pokrajac (CAN) WR 541
Tom Rushby WR 693 v Qualifier

James was very unlucky to get a seed when he was only three places in the rankings off getting a seeding himself. However, his rise up the rankings on Monday means that James is now higher-ranked than his seeded opponent!

The reason we don't know who Tom has got yet is that a few of the FQR matches have been held over until Tuesday.

There are 11 Qualifier/Lucky loser spots in the draw, meaning at least 3 LL spots being available. Sean is one of just two seeds to have gone out in the final qualifying round, with definitely one, possibly two or three, more to come when the last four qualy matches are played. Sounds like an excellent chance of one of those spots.

Having looked at Wardy's opponent he seems like a pretty decent player

tough one to call but i'll go for Wardy in three

Rushby will get hammered by a qualifier

Tom Rushby will play his R1 match (and potentially a R2 match too) today after play in Havana was virtually washed out by rain again on Wednesday.

The guy Thornley lost too, Jimy Szymanski, used to be ranked 160th, so I don't think that's such a bad loss as it looked.
