In week 41, James Auckland won the doubles at the Rennes challenger, and in week 42 Andy Murray won the Masters Series event in Madrid (but i am sure you heard about that being in Spain yourself at the time wink.gif)

Thanks again, Wolf; 'fraid i missed out on Spain, being ill at the time. Picked up a bit after the first few days and went to Lochearnhead - beautiful spot - for a couple of days, even managed a 'Spot the Drew' safari into deepest, darkest Crieff! (Actually, Crieff is a lovely wee town)

First tournament victory of the week listed, that of the doubles 'dream team' of Colin and Ken. Another to come tomorrow when Marcus and Dan meet, and who would bet against at least one more, given how well Andy and James are motoring through their respective fields, not to mention a possible Lyons Hutch victoire.

We have six new career highs for the beginning of November

322 James Ward, up 43 places from his previous high
487 Dan Evans, breaking into that 'magic' top 500
743 Jamie Feaver, newly into the top 750
796 Sean Thornley, another in new territory, the top 800
831 Josh Milton, king of round one, soon to be making serious inroads into draws
1001 Marcus Willis, bouncing back from last week's big drop *
1471 Neil Pauffley, up almost 300 spots into the top 1500 for the first time

* Thanks to Madeline (see below) for this one.

Am I missing something, or have you missed Marcus Willis, up 760 places to 1001?  New career high, I believe.

No, Mad, you're as button-bright as ever. I'd been foxed by Marcus' meteoric fall last week which preceded this week's meteoric rise of an even greater amount! (thinks - there surely can't be such a thing as a meteoric rise, can there? By their very nature, meteors fall.)

Thanks for keeping me on my toes!

Three new doubles highs this week:

368 Alex Bogdanovic, his first time in the top 400
947 Maniel Bains, with another rise probable next week
1321 Dan Cox, up almost 200 spots on his previous high

Unfortunately, as has been anticipated for months, I've run out of posting space at the beginning of this thread, and can't show this week's doubles highs; I'm, at present, negotiating for development space and hope to have good news soon!

Be that as it may, third time lucky with the spelling of "meteoric", Derek! wink  And journos, tabloid & broadsheet alike, like nothing better than a meteoric rise, it seems to me... biggrin

What an embarrassment - thanks (I think!) for picking this up, Lynne; it's actually worse than it appears, as I'd spelled it incorrectly the third time, too, but had spotted that one!wink I'll go back in and fix it - I wouldn't like the Count to learn any spelling errors from me.

A note of thanks to Wolf, who has kindly given up one of his posts to allow our doubles highs, which had finally run out of space, to continue in his 'bit'. Thanks, Wolf, very public-spirited of you.
