A set of results always feels so much better when they were unexpected... and these were!
Well done guys.

Great results there. Good to see 2 youngsters picking up 2 points. Hopefully this will kick start Ken's season

Lovely results from those three. And not too shabby from the others either, despite the losses.

Who does Smethurst play next? and after winning the juniors last week, do you think he's forgotten how to lose? That'd be pretty great, how long would it take for him to overtake Federer? wink.gif

The French eighth seed, Grégoire Burquier (670),  which means he has absolutely nothing to lose...! wink  pray.gif  please.gif

Skupster! Smethurst! Illingworth! Nice going fellas!

Isn't that two points for Smethurst this week?

Who does everyone think will win out of Ken and Matt then??

Yes, but three points in the last three weeks, hence my one point a week thing.

To answer Bethan''s question, more than a century! wink

I've been assuming Ken will win, but ready to be surprised again.

I make it now up to 660 in world for Ken. If he gets to the final its 637 and then 621 if he wins. Can really start to push for top 500 as he has no points to defend till July

Yes, Gareth, I agree, Ken's now at a projected 660; promotion, however, could be faster than you think! 10K points go 1-2-4-8-12, not 1-2-4-6-8, so a semi win would mean 621, moving Ken into the UK active top-ten, whilst a tournament win sees him in the top 600! (588, provisionally). The pace of climb slows thereafter, though; even a Tipton win would leave him looking for another 17 points to reach the magic 5C!

clap.gif Skups. Now can he see off another seed in the semi-final after dumping out Tourte in round 1?

 Have the doubles finished?
