we just called the atp jack and said we have been getting great response from people all over the world being the first us challenger to have live streaming video, could you guys add something to your board and they said of course.
we had numerous challengers contact us regarding our work. even one of the big guys at the usta was in town and was also really impressed with our setup. hopefully we can take this show on the road.
this is off topic, but this is the second year in a row we have made youtube. type in bruno witten on youtube and watch him go nuts. last year: type in kristian pless and watch him lose it....true greatness.
you wont believe what happened in the bruno echagaray/jesse witten match. just watch it and let me know what everyone thinks. i have my own story as i was right there in the media box where it happened.
Haha, I hope you charged him for any damage he caused

he was charged $650us. he didn't make that much in our tourney, so they will take it out of his next check. there wasn't a footfault called the whole match, so for it to be called on match pt was pretty bad. the lady linesperson was written up as well. you just dont make that call at that point of the match. bruno handled himself poorly, but after talking to other pros, they said they might have acted worse.
Surely if the call was correct, it doesn't matter what point of the match it is?

There's no way of proving that the call wasn't correct so I don't think that the poor linejudge deserves all of the flack that she's getting.. and I agree with John, the fact that it was match point is irrelevant.
but she would have to be 1000% sure its correct as there is no going back, the call decicded the match, 3rd set TB at 6-5 both still with good chance to win. How often do line judges now have their call over turned by hawkeye?
looking at the vid i cant really see any diffrence in his 2 serves, he seems to strike the ball whilst in the air (i thought your feet had to be on the ground to foot fault), so surely a foot fault should have also been called on his 1st serve, regardless of the fact it went into the net.

i'm with john and james. It's unfortunate that the foot fault was on match point but a fault is a fault and it's not the lineperson's job to be more lienient becuase of the scoreline. I do see the other side to the argument as well though but really to not call a fault when you see one is cheating on the part of the linesperson and that can't be good surely?
Count, I *believe* that a foot fault is when your feet touch, or go over the baseline (in the air or on the ground) BEFORE the ball is struck. there was some contraversy over foot faults during the AO apparently, and there is a good bit about it in Ashley Fisher's blog on bootyandfish.com

i think it has to be the ground, if your foot is the air you are ok, the itf says that if either foot touches the baseline or court during the service motion (doesnt define sevice motion there but may do else where) it counts as a foot fault.

I'm with imoen, John and James on this; a linesperson has absolutely NO discretion, and must call what they see, irrespective of the match situation - otherwise, they're cheating.
