oh dear, its just not working for alex at the moment, hopefully the dc break can help him get his head back together. still alot of the year left to turn around.

Certainly isn't, since he & Fleishman lost in the first round of the doubles to Brunstrom & Wilson as well! cry Signs of more of a fight, though:  6-3 6-7(5) [9-11]... hmm

Edited in:  Oops, for some reason, the new page with the Count's report on the score did not appear until after I posted! ashamed

challenger dubs is always a bit of a lottery tho, i ahbve no idea how the players who dont play dubs choose to link up, normally with what ever allows them to play, maybe even the orgainsers help. i guess it depends on how you and partner match up, or if you have playe b4.

i dont know if alex and flash have partnered b4, its a shame to come so close and not quite make it, although i guess this will give alex a bit more time to prepare in chilie.

whne will we find out if anyone is going for the VDm qualies?

Lloyd suggested (in some AO commentary, can't remember which match) that both Boggo and Baker were going to attempt VDM qualies, and that Murray J would be playing doubles there are well. (he also kept going on about practise matches in Chile i don't know if he's viewing the tournament as practise or if he's organised other qualy matches)
