Actually Rice plays unranked Russian Perevoschikov.

However he wins that he probably needs to beat the top seed to qualify

Rice won 6-1, 6-3 and then beat Ogarkov (who knocked out top seed) 6-4, 6-3 to qualify.

In the first round he plays another qualifier Cervantes-Huegin

I'm afraid James Ward poor start to the season continues though. He lost 6-4, 6-0 to Julian Jeanpierre.

Now then, Can Rice match bad- girl Broady and reach the QF?? - if so, then I think the LTA should make it policy to kick as many juniors out of the system as possible..

What a nightmare poor James is having, i'm sure the results will pick up though!
