yeah steven, llano played a great first set. i think he then started thinking he was about to beat a player that had played in majors and started to get tight. this tourney is indoors and painter can still get his serve in the 120's. llano didn't break painter's serve all day, but like i said earlier, played a good first set and has nothing to hang his head about.
ned boone had a much easier time as he won 6-0, 2-0. his opponent pulled a muscle in his back in the second game and couldn't do much.
im predicting a boone/painter final. painter plays daniel omana, while boone plays scott eddins. eddins got as high as 847 in 2002, but had a very tough 2.5 hours quarterfinal match beating #1 seed sigurdsson 7-6, 2-6, 7-5. eddins is a serve and volleyer, but i think boone has 2 much off the ground and returns 2 well.
sorry i never posted boone's results....have been down for the past few days with the stomach flu. boone lost in the semis to scott eddins in 3 sets. eddins then lost to painter 2,2 in the finals. painter gets the wc into qualies.
