AO Round 1 : Murray v Tsonga

So Andy leads the ATP level H2H 1-0 and Tsonga's only win came in the Nottingham Challenger of 2004.

I am guessing that this match will be on Monday. Only a guess.

AO Radio said that the temp on Monday would be in the mid 30's and then mid 20's for the rest of the first week.

Andy in 3 for me.

I think there is a strong chance this could be a night game on Monday (morning for us).

Only other real options are Gasquet v Aussie WC or Nadal/Roddick against respective qualifiers?

Pretty sure top half will be on Tuesday with Fed/Nalbi nursing injuries and most of the players still involved in tournies all in top half

I'll bet they put Gasquet v Aussie wild card Lindahl on in the evening.

well I love your optimism stircrazy but I kinda doubt that we'll be seeing Murray and Baker stride out onto the Rod Laver Arena for the 3rd of the quarter-finals in 10 days time biggrin.gif

Jo-Wilfried didn't get past the first round in Sydney, so there's a chance he's not firing on all cylinders. please.gif He did however, win the doubles with Gasquet as his partner, disposing of the Bryans 4-6 6-4 11-9. weirdfaceCould be tired... idea

LOL!  No, I'm a pessimist by nature, at least in my public pronouncements, so much as I'd like to think Jamie was capable of going that deep into his first Grand Slam tournament - & would gladly eat a large slice of humble pie with a double helping of whipped cream, were I to be proved wrong - that comment was actually intended to be tongue in cheek, prompted by dismay at the way Lady Luck seems quite incapable of smiling on the few Brits who end up competing at Grand Slam/ATP level & keeping them apart in the draw for as long as possible...! hmm

As I posted on another thread, they haven't mentioned any overnight coverage, but there is coverage on bbci during the day. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/6102132.stm
