No, I'm a pessimist by nature, at least in my public pronouncements, so much as I'd like to think Jamie was capable of going that deep into his first Grand Slam tournament - & would gladly eat a large slice of humble pie with a double helping of whipped cream, were I to be proved wrong - that comment was actually intended to be tongue in cheek, prompted by dismay at the way Lady Luck seems quite incapable of smiling on the few Brits who end up competing at Grand Slam/ATP level & keeping them apart in the draw for as long as possible...!
