What a week it turned out to be, we have had off court drama & on court success!!! The singles Final has just finished & Lewis Barnes has earned himself his first G3 title dropping just one set all week he beat Malik from India in the finale 7-6 6-4 after being 4-0 down in the tie-break!! So pleased for him & he will get a big ranking push now to around 160, with another good week next week he could make top 100!!! In the semi's Lewis got past James Richardson...just! James was up 6-4 3-0 but the match turned in Lewis' favor 4-6 6-4 6-1.
Richo has had another good week & will debut inside the top 200 next week & again if he has a good week next week he could break 100!! Faris is in the doubles semi later today so fingers crossed we have another Brit winner....but the day & the week belongs to Lewis Barnes........take a bow!!!

Thanks for the info goldenslam, article on Lewis' success will be up on britishtennis.net....super start to the year, starting to back up the talk by walking the walk biggrin.gif...9 players in top 100 would be quite incredible and looks possible by end of the month.....only about a year ago we didn't have any !!!!!!!!!!!

Things are looking good for British tennis especially on the boys side, we are extremely lucky to have Paul Hutchins, heading up what we do, he is very supportive & encouraging of what the players are planning & aiming to achieve. Can't say anything more than just a great start to the year, I hope it continues!!
