Week 2: ATP Auckland

Can't believe there's no livescores. There has been scoring for all the WTA qualifying so far. Let's just keep fingers crossed for a Jamie win.

I know I should be sleeping by now, but the news was worth the wait! Jamie won 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 and I think he plays Tomas Cakl for a main draw spot. Good luck Jamie!

yes! clap.gifclap.gif

T Cakl (CZE) d [2] M Vassallo Arguello (ARG) 75 63 so that is confirmed.

Cakl will be a tough match. But then so were Sa and Sun!

Wow. Great result. Fingers crossed for Jamies final quali. Really hope he wins as we really are having a cracking start to 2008 with the results from all players. Hope this is a good sign for things to come.

clap.gifclap.gif go Jamie. great to see him come back strong from a bad start.

Cakl should be slightly easier than Vassallo Arguello so hopefully Jamie uses that to his advantage and manages to qualify please.gif

Great start for Baker! If he qualifies and wins a round, then he is out of the Aussie Qualies.

Cakl's ranked 267, has been top 150 though.....didn't have a particularly great 2007 by his standards but took advantage of a weak field to make the final of the New Delhi 50K and at the start of the year, qualified for Zagreb and beat Starace

Bloomfield beat him 3&6 indoors

Jamie is first up on court 6 at 11am local time which is 10pm here by my reckoning. Surely Livescore will be working as there are some first round matches as well.

You'd hope so.

Think I want him to qualify and draw Cilic. Put up a good show. Gain confidence from it, but be able to make AO qualies as well.
