Yeah, it's a bit of a shame having to wait half a week for it all to kick off but lots of action next week with the futures starting and Andy in Kooyong
The qualy draws are usually done on the day before play starts so if the draw is on Tuesday (which MTF agrees with Sheddie about) then play should start on Wednesday. WTAWorld also has the mens qualies starting on Wednesday and the womens on Thursday.
yes, but if he makes Auckland main draw he might have to pull out of AO qualies I'm not sure how it works but he'd have to play in the main draw or be given a pretty hefty fine I believe.

So many players are playing in tournaments this week AND entered in AO qualies, doing the list of "who is playing where" for Rob's ranking tables drove me nuts this week.
Those that have entered two must not have any belief they will go far in the first!
Wimbledon does its qualy draws earlier than other Grand Slams, before first round matches take place at Nottingham, so few players eligible for Wimbledon qualies opt to play Nottingham qualies. At the other Grand Slams the draws normally take place after first round matches in the ATP (and WTA) Tour matches have been completed so there is more benefit from entering Tour qualies, knowing that unless matches are delayed by bad weather you will either be in the 2nd round (with reasonable points/money) or be out and eligible for Grand Slam qualifying.
