That's great result - well played Ed. Surely this takes him closer to that elusive Top 500 spot (have I just placed the curse????)

Well played Ed. I really enjoy following his progress and surely this latest win over an opponent who is ranked quite a lot higher shows that Ed is improving all the time. His travels all over are certainly paying rich dividends.

I second that, Gareth, a terrific result!
The four points gained by reaching the semis should move Ed to c.533 in the rankings; four more, if he reaches the final, would push him above Miles Kasiri to about 513, while a tournament victory would seal that coveted top 500 spot - no. 494, as things stand at the moment. (As there are just 4 Futures tournaments on the go this week, it's unlikely that the numbers will alter much from those suggested above.)

Have been a bit sceptical of Seators rise up the rankings because of the quality of the fields in events he plays but that is a really good win.

Points from this event won't go on for another 3 weeks though - added to the ones he could get next week of course!

Well done Ed. Hopefully this guy can shake off his 'overachiever' tag and become a bit more respected.

I fear you have cry

SF: Edward SEATOR (GBR) (6) lost to Michael MCCLUNE (USA) (3) by 6-0 3-1 ret. cry

The injury curse of those heading for the top 500 has struck again - hope it's not too bad.

I actually read it for once, and realised it made no sense gramatically. I'm thinking of sticking a band logo there or something now :-S
any suggestions anyone?
