Slabba will play the one 10K in Portugal, good chance to go deep there, he'll be the 3rd seed but some good players also lower down in the draw like former world junior no 1 Jon Eysseric who played in Roland Garros main draw last year.
The courts won't really suit either Slabba or Josh as they're so so slow and high bouncing....you get masses of Spanish grinders (often Nadal lookalikes) in these Portuguese futures who just run all day and get everything back which is so frustrating. Alex never really adjusted to them over 4 weeks of futures there last year so hopefully with the confidence of a great 2007, he can do better this time.
After that Alex plays two 10K+Hs indoors in France and then two 15Ks in Croatia,
He's looking for the futures with higher points because the problem with 10Ks is, once you get to top 400 you have to make the final every time to get any real ranking rise. This is why he'll be playing very few of the British 10Ks this year.
After these 5 tourneys he's not decided yet but will probably have a crack at some challengers
