Week 1 - Challenger (75k+H) - Nouméa, New Caledonia (hard)

well done Boggo, I was beginning to worry that the delay would cause him to lose. Hopefully Anderson doesn't pose much of a problem either please.gif

Nice win from boggo, there's definitely a real sense of optimism for british tennis this season! I hope alex can take advantage of the seed situation and not have a repeat of shrewsbury.

LOL - I admit, I didn't notice Christian's post until after I had done mine, for some unknown reason, but in my defence, the bit about Kim going out as well was new! wink

w00t.gif Boggo fever grips the message board once again!

nice to get a win in in the first match!

Watching Sweeting with a little trepidation. Anderson is a bit of an unknown quantity, but Boggo should have him on paper.

i think thats just remission, boggofever will be back strong for the AOQ :)

actually i cant find confirmation of that result anywhere else yet, its not on the  tournie website (but all the other scores are) so i dont know where he got it from.  of course its just wishfulll thinking to belilve it could be wrong.

I think someone may have jumped the gun as the result has not been posted anywhere. Boggo's was the last game of the day so how they could of found out the result before some of the others I dont know. I think/hope the scores have been mixed up with that of the French tie just beneath Boggo

i agree Gazz, they havent put any of the dubs matches up yet either that i can see.

i hate it when people just post scores with no source/explanation.

although i prefer him to post boggo lost and be wrong than boggo won and be wrong!!

from the guy who put the result up

I got it from the girl in charge of the press releases at the tournament, that's an e-mail sent to the media.
I'd say it's kind of official, unless she made a typo for that match - the other results were correct.

looks like it could be right cry.gif

looks like alex just couldnt figure out Andersons serve quick enough, he got 10 aces over the 2 sets, Alex only won 6 return points in the opening set. He did better in the 2nd, won more return points and got 2 bp's but couldnt take them whereas Anderson got 2 and took the 1 that counted.

oh well onto the next one.

Still, Anderson is a great player and someone who should soon be top 100.
