a bit of extra info, boggo's luggage went missing en route (having so many connections is asking for trouble) so he has had to do a bit of last min shopping! he does have his racquets tho (and maybe trainers).

well done alex. good to start with a win, although could have been bit more clinical on big points maybe, needed 3 mp's and only faced 2 bp's but was broken on both.

maybe there was more rain? looks like not all matches were played inc alex's doubles.

Great stuff from Alex I had real fears for this match for some reason. Good news also that no1 seed Devilder got knocked out which has opened up Alex's quarter even more. Saying that maybe that isn't good news after all!!

And better still, the no. 1 seed Devilder (who was in Alex's quarter) went out to Bohli in R1 and no. 3 seed Kevin Kim went out to Gensse, so Alex is already the top seed left in the top half of the draw. smile.gif

shame, but still he is in the singles which is his prime concern, the dubs for alex is generally only a back up (i know the lta put pressure on to play more dubs) and gets a bit of spending money.

edit: doesnt look like they were ever in this match, facing 12 bp's over the 2 sets, although i guess that includes 40-40's etc. (managed to save 9 tho.) but got only 2 againt the others.

has a 5.30pm match tomorrow (tonight) for singles.
