Well, look who's popped up in singles qualifying here - one of just three unseeded non-Brazilians in the draw.

OoP says 4th on Center after 10 am (noon GMT) on Monday 29th - I assume they mean Saturday 29th.
It's virtually unheard of for a Brit to head out to one of the Brazilian events, which are usually full of Brazilians + the odd Argentinian. I wonder if Jamie is just chasing relatively easy points, perhaps more in doubles than singles (I imagine this will be relatively weak for a 100K+H) or if he's decided to camp out in South America in the hope that JL will pick him for the DC doubles rubber!

QR1: Jamie Delgado WR 1208 beat (q5) Diego Cristin (ARG) WR 482 by 7-6(5) 6-2
... and what's even better is that he plays the winner of WC v WC in QR2!
QR2: Jamie Delgado WR 1208 v (WC) Alain Michel (BRA) UNR
However, no. 1 seed Thiago Alves would stand in the way of him getting to the main draw and hence actually scoring any points - a pity points aren't given in the men's game for winning Challenger qualifying matches!

If you think about it though, Delgado will have achieved a lot more in tennis than Alves, just because he doesn't play singles any more doesn't mean he can't play. C'mon Jamie roll back the years!
