Amazing stuff - it's not just that they're winning, it's that they're doing it in such style. I guess they must be spurring each other on - each time one of them takes out a higher-ranked player in straight sets, the next one thinks if she can do it, why can't I ...

Well said Steven -though Kerber's struggles of late also highlights the importance of getting used to playing top 100 players whilst making your way up the rankings. Kerber annihilated lots of Challenger fields a year ago, but didn't pick up the experience of playing higher ranked players, and that may well be a factor. Hope Naomi et al play a good number of Tour qualies, even if the points are poor unless you qualify.
Re your previous post, steven - that's a really good point. Hopefully they'll all spur each other on to the top 100 soon!
I also totally agree with you, DavidC. I've never seen Kerber play, but her Challenger results were certainly impressive. She might have got to the top 100 too soon for her own good though if her struggles to adjust to top-level play are any indication. Am I right or wrong in thinking that most of her Challenger victories were in 25ks (as opposed to the 75ks and even 50ks that often attract lower-end top 100 players)?
Elena is on the scoreboard (warming up I presume).
Great result from Cavaday, brought a huge smile to my face, thanks for the scores Sally and David. Also, welcome back Sally, not seen you around in a while, hope all is well
Go Elena!!
