Shame Tara Moore didnt make the trip down under as she would have got into this draw....though given that she's not playing the AO juniors (not even qualies confused.gif), there wasnt much point

Previews:

Mel has a decent chance against Pelletier (ranked 168 but on the way down having reached a career high of 106)....likes the slow-medium fast surfaces...made several quarters and semis from 25K-75K level last season. Sarah Borwell beat her 7-6, 6-0 in Wimbledon qualies

Bally also has a winnable rd1 match, Hrdinova's ranked 197...made two 25K finals last year, one indoors and another on French clay

Namigata is ranked 186, made two 25K finals, both in Japan...she did well in the astroturf challengers over there...Anna Fitzpatrick beat her 7-5, 6-0 in Wimbledon qualies and Anne K won 6-4, 6-4 in AO qualies...would expect Naomi to win this
