The rain didn't last long and sadly Anne didn't last long after they came back on court either - Savchuk broke her again to win 4-6 6-4 6-2.
Amazingly, Savchuk was the only one of the eight qualifying seeds to make it to the final qualifying round, so if they go on WTA rankings (and not race rankings) to decide LLs, Anne would be the second in line.
Anne is ranked 132, higher than Wheeler (219) who lost to Bacsinszky, and both players in the Zheng (163) v Kleybanova (156) match, but slightly behind both players in the Schruff (119) v Fedak (123) match.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Savchuk was trashed by Mauresmo in the main draw, though it's a shame that it wasn't Anne testing herself against the double slam winner. I'm glad to see Anne healthy again after the injury that really halted her momentum at the end of last year (if she hadn't been injured she might have snuck into the top 100, who knows...). She gave Savchuk a very competitive match which illustrates that she is able to compete with the lower top 100 players - hopefully she can push on from here
