Has she ever played Savchuk?
At 92 in the rankings Anne must surely have a cracking chance to get through to the main draw. Whatever, nice start to the year.thumbsup.gif

Anne plays at midnight tonight GMT

Live streaming of this tourney from Tuesday so an extra benefit if Anne makes main draw

Savchuk's ranked 92 so this will really be a step up for Anne but in such superb form, she's got a good shot. In the summer she beat 3 Brits: Bally, Julia Bone and Amanda Keen, all in 3 sets though. Had a very successful season last year, made the semis of WTA Bangalore, qualified and won a round at Roland Garros, made the final of a 75K and semis of a 100K+H.

i hope Ana Ivanovic has made a big impact on the girls at the NTC, because i really want at least 2 or 3 girls to make a great stride towards the top 100.

*3-0 double break!! Admittedly is helping with 3 DFs already and a 1st serve of only 39% but Anne is taking advantage and looking positive smile.gif

another break to love from Savchuk and it's 4-2* it looks like Anne's second serve just isn't doing the job, she's won just 13% of points on the second serve. At least she seems to be able to break Savchuk, and she's still a break up
