Yeah that little +H that i failed to notice makes all the difference! 1 win and slabba breaks the top 500! But with the draw opening up a little he should be pushing for even more!
Is Slabba down to play next week as well? If he breaks the top 500 this week what are the chances he'll withdraw and get a bit of rest before cracking on next year.

Right, IF nobody around Slabba gains or loses any points last week or this week (and not many people will, so these are more accurate than usual)..Slabba's what if:
If he loses in the QF: 513 If he loses in the SF: 490 If he loses in the F: 464 If he wins the tournament: 431

Wow, lots at stake for the next few matches ! What a chance to make some massive inroads....even if Slabba breaks the top 500 by winning his quarter-final, I very much doubt he will withdraw from next week's tourney because he's not so much focused on the top 500 now (when that comes is just a matter of time) but on being top 350 come June and these African tourneys are a real gilt-edged chance to catapult yourself up the rankings. As we know, playing-strength wise, Slabba belongs in the top 400

Let's just hope Ford-da Silva doesn't see fit to turn on the style again against Slabba tomorrow...! As I said earlier, rankings (&, by extension, playing records) don't always seem to count for that much at this level!
Well done Slabba! Finally got a new player in the top 500 and surely kasiri will follow in January!
Amrani will be a very tough match for Alex, Amrani is only 19 and he's already cracked the top 500 but another win would really firmly establish Alex in the top 500 so it would be brilliant!
