Thanks for all the figures, Akhenaten - as usual, I'd say your GB rankings look far more accurate in the majority of cases than the ATP ones. The breakdown for Eaton is particularly interesting - encouragingly, if you strip out the one-off effect of the Wimbledon run, this is shaping up to be his best season sp far, I'd say - he's already had at least three decent weeks in the first three months, which is 3x as many as he usually has in a whole year.
Good luck with your wedding next week!

I always find these interesting and they really do tend to tie in with what are my and perhaps most folk's impressions of what are in some ways "over" or "under" ranked players.
Good to see James' Akhenaten ranking around his ATP ranking, showing as I thought that he fully deserves to have got where he has, he has had some good wins. Confims that Boggo probably would be very much higher too if he could / did play more tennis.
Josh Goodall interestingly and Richard quite a lot higher in the Akhenaten rankings.
Diappointing in many ways that only Evo of the younger 89 / 90 crew ( or indeed of anyone born after 1987 ) is in the GB top 10. But the fact that Dan Cox and Josh Milton are adjusted so much lower is no surprise.
Interesting to see that Liam is ranked quite a bit higher in the Akhenaten rankings even than his ATP ranking. James Marsalek's much higher Akhenaten ranking confirms my thoughts that his actual points have in no way fully represented his performances over the last few months, he has beaten decent players and has been unlucky with his draws not to have gathered more points. He is a good prospect.

1) Only one player ( Evo ) younger than Andy in the top 8.
2) Even starker evidence than the official rankings that for some time now ( I'd say basically since Wimbledon last year ) Oli seems to have got his head down and got quite a lot of decent results whereas Liam's results in both seniors and juniors has been a bit disappointing. Don't know if he's been particularly trying to change his game at all or what the reasons might be, but he will no doubt want to get back on the good track he seemed to be on asap.
Although born different years, Oli is only just over 3 months older than Liam and does seem for the moment to be pushing ahead more. Hopefully just a slight lull in what is still clearly very early days in Liam's career.
Interesting to see many of the divergences from the official rankings. Particularly interesting, given some of the recent discussions re the emerging players, to see how much higher Kyle and Liam are here and lower Oli. Does reflect how good Kyle's recent results in the USA have been.
OLI OFFICIAL RANKINGS GB 11 WR 431 AKHENATEN RANKINGS GB 17 WR 543 ( Oli will drop to about WR 460 by year end with points to come off )
LUKE OFFICIAL RANKINGS GB 32 WR 892 AKHENATEN RANKINGS GB 28 WR 812 ( Luke should be into the official top 800 next Monday )
Ed Corrie, having started the year playing loads of futures qualifying matches and ended the year playing challenger qualifying matches, not surprisingly easily tops the list for matches played, and indeed won.

I won't comment or I'll get myself in trouble!!!!!
Seriously, if I understand this ranking system correctly, it works primarily on WHO you play against, not the amount of matches you play or what level and round of tournament those matches happen to be. Very smart indeed!! So it would naturally adjust downwards somewhat if you get your points through a large quantity of matches against lower ranked players, or simply get lucky with opponents in big tournaments. And would adjust upwards also if you show the talent to beat higher ranked players, even at early stages of small tournaments. How genius is that. It seems to work too
