vamos slabba !!! great to see him getting this african tour started....hopefully he can continue the business tomorrow....beat Brewer 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(5) in Wrexham earlier this year
Slabba should win as he's got bigger weapons than Brewer - good serve and forehand. Brewer lacks a really big shot, solid off both sides and moves well but can't really hurt opponents consistently.
even better! Whilst Middelkoop HAS to lose at somepoint, he is having a bit of a blinder at the moment, to understate it somewhat. Do we know anything about him? Where's he come from, age etc? Ie, is he on the return from injury or just starting out, or just have a weird few weeks?!

There's nowt very much in his ATP profile other than that he's Dutch (born in Leerdam & resident in Breda), 24 & a right-hander.

From his web site. I think it lost a little in translation but you can get the gist of what he is saying. Probably should have left the original for Stircrazy to translate.
Name:Matwé Middelkoop Born:September 3, 1983 Height:1.89 m
Hobbies:Computing, go to the cinema and tennis course ... Plays:Right Coach:Henk van Hulst Professional since:2002 Strengths: Serviceand forehand Favorite surface:Hardcourt Great examples:Sjeng Schalken, Marat Safin Best performance:Winner national championships to 16 years, Winner national championships to 18 years, Winner A in Rotterdam. Winner Simperopel Cup 2003 in Ukraine I started tennis when I was 4 years old.I got my mother for my birthday a simple racket, which I day after day against a wall started saving.Eventually I went lesson in Leerdam to Bart Baarn, and soon thereafter with Jan-Willem Escher. On my 10th I went to the bond train in Capelle aan den Ijssel. My trainer was there Betuw of Flip.In the meantime, I played much k3 and k2 career.I have trained with the bond until I Willem-Jan van Hulst came in at Groningen. He asked if I wanted to Henk van Hulst train. This seemed to me a little bit and I was on my 13rd to Valkenswaard departed in order to train and going to school.Since I am going to train Henk is my level very quickly went up to the level that I am now.
And here's the man himself! He's not done badly on clay considering he prefers hard surfaces.
Ha, ha! Wikipedia says his favourite surface is clay.
Thanks Helki (and Stircrazy), I appreciate the effort, basically when I ask these kinds of questions it's becuase I'm too lazy to research it myself, so thank you very much for doing the research (and translation) for me
