Week 48 - Challenger (50k) - New Delhi, India

So Josh flys around the world and is in the MD.

MD1 :

Josh Goodall GBR (305) v Martin Slanar AUT (348)

Tricky draw....Slanar has been playing a mix of challengers and futures with more sucess in futures. He beat Rushby in the first round of the Barnstable Challenger and just lost the semi in China F9.

If he does progress he could meet the likes of Pless and Balleret.

Hard, apparently...

I was priming Sheddie and Arka for another cow dung argument! wink.gif

I think Josh stands a good chance on hard. Wonder if a coach has travelled with him. If he can learn to calm down and collect his thoughts when a point or a call don't go his way, he's got plenty of talent to take Slanar and maybe a couple more out!

Be nice if Josh could do well here.
To think at the end of last year he was only a few places off the top 200.
Good luck to him.

Decent draw for Josh, with all the withdrawals he'd probably still make AO qualies at this point but it'd be great if he could have a good run next couple of weeks and maybe move up a few places

The Delhi dung suits big servers so he should do well

Should beat Slanar but Schuettler lurks in rd2....

Panda, is this on TV ?

Josh's draw looks a hell of a lot better now as Schettler has pulled out and Pless retired so if he can win tomorrow it's either Yu or Skugor in R2 with Balleret or Kindlmann in Q/F!

Heres hoping he can take advantage

Here's hoping for Josh.
With this being a 50K there will be more points on offer so let's hope he can really take advantage and get that ranking moving back up.

Wow, just noticed the draw myself, he'd better take advantage of all that luck!

That's a big stroke of luck and it's times like this that Josh needs to play at his best because he won't get an easier route in a 50k again anytime soon! Hope that there isn't an anti-climax after such a good chance!

Josh plays both his singles and doubles tommorow, early morning our time.

According to MTF, Josh lost the first set in his singles, but was 3-2 up in the second. That was nearly 3 hours ago so should be finished now.
