Come on girls.
Another fantastic week.
Our girls really are coming on better than some of the guys.
Hope this continues into next year.

Quarterfinals

Katie O'BRIEN (GBR) (1) Vs Yurika SEMA (JPN) (6)
Trudi MUSGRAVE (AUS) Vs Ye-Ra LEE (KOR) (8)
Georgie STOOP (GBR) Vs Monica NICULESCU (ROU) (4)
Melanie SOUTH (GBR) (7) Vs Chia-Jung CHUANG (TPE)

The big threat to our three is Monica Niculescu, who has won 14 of her last 15 matches in straight sets. Two of those wins have been against Georgie, en route to 25K titles in Istanbul and Port Pirie. However Georgie dealt with Natalie Grandin in round 1, who had stopped her in 2 of the 3 25Ks in Australia last year, so perhaps she can lay another bogey to rest tomorrow.

hmmm, disappointing from Katie especially having beaten Lee 6-0, 7-5 last week...the Korean girl's only ranked 244 too....however she seems to have really hit form this week, beating Katie's nemisis Pavlovic too

Was hoping she'd make at least 1 final on this trip...as it is she'll now be ranked in low 120s (unless last weeks pts have been already added on ?)...and should have a good seeding for AO qualies....unless she has an amazing week in China and makes it directly

At least Katie has a chance of a direct entry going into last tourney. Would have taken that a couple of months ago.
