What a pity that no home nations made it...Scotland were cheated....England blew it !

If the rumours are true there will be a home-nations 'friendly' comp next summer...just to dull the pain for not being at the euros...

I would not have minded the players getting to the Euros...but the english press are a joke...I feel for McLaren....if he stays in the job then fair enough...but if they get rid of him then only a complete self-deluded pseudo god would take the worse job in world fitba !

I don't have any empathy for McLaren. One of his first moves as manager was to axe one of the few players who did well at the World Cup.

I didn't want Sven to go in the first place because he didn't allow the press to select the team to a major extent.

Now the 40 million + people in the country who don't like football can enjoy a summer without any of the following:

the newspapers (even the "quality" ones) having 10 pages about football every day for months on end;

noisy gangs of drunks roving around making all town centres no-go areas;

watching on the telly gangs of drunks wrecking various cities in Austria and Switzerland and claiming that the local police started it all;

crappy plastic flags on cars.
