Week 47 - Challenger ($50,000) - Knoxville, TN, USA

Shame, but still a great week and a new career high, so can't be too upset.

Good luck to Jamie and partner in the doubles.

Jamie lost 6-3 6-4 but won by the same score to go through to the doubles final. Shame he couldn't go all the way however a good week all the same to push him closer to that 200 mark.

Was always going to be a tough semi...Kendrick's just outside top 100 and won Calabasas last month.

Excellent run from Jamie, took advantage of a decent draw and finally several close matches went his way...those much needed pts give him a bit of a cushion ahead of next Feb.....hopefully he can qualify for at least one of the 3/4 ATPs he'll play in Jan and start of the yr, many of the atp guys are not yet 100% so anything can happen

Hopefully Craig can get hold of Jamie and let us know his thoughts smile.gif

Shame about the singles but great to see him in the doubles final.
Let's hope for more results like this next year then Jamie can crack the top 200 and be pushing Boggo for the number 2 spot.

Encouraging tournament from Jamie! I think his run this week shows the benefits of playing doubles as I think some of his wins in doubles recently have given him court time, helped him feel the pleasure of winning etc... and probably rubbed off on his singles this week.

I believe he's quite good mates with Evans from their junior days and its a nice doubles partnership to see.

Keep it up Jamie!!

Good close match that!

Jamie takes home $2510 and 24 ranking points for the singles. w00t.gif

Jamie takes home $900 (half the $1800 for being a finalist) and 38 ranking points for the doubles. w00t.gif

Good week that. clap.gif

Merry Christmas Jamie. Get a good rest and some good training...

See you in the AO main draw! pray.gif

don't know.

Have you heard from Cavaday recently? How's the injury.

Is she off until the new year now?

havent not spoken to her much since Canada but her 2007 season is over....Id guess she will probably be at a training camp in the States with Felgate next month preparing for some WTA qualies and AO in Jan

I dont think the injury is too serious, just withdrew from her remaining events as a precaution
