Nothing going on that can affect Andy's ranking, but it will be interesting to watch what happens to those at Shanghai.

Ferrer has already overtaken Roddick, to move into 5th place.  Gasquet, Gonzo and Roddick have all put some more distance between themselves and Andy.


Behind Andy, Canas is defending 70 points from his South American title last year. He's playing in Dnepropretrovsk this week.

Today
If Roddick beats Gonzalez, he'll climb back above Ferrer.

Roddick climbs back above Ferrer to 5 by beating Gonzo.

Tomorrow,  Ferrer plays Gasquet. If Ferrer wins, he's back at 5. If Gasquet wins, he overtakes Gonzalez to rise to 7.

Exit the young guns: Gasquet and Djokovic are knocked out.

Ferrer climbs back above Roddick to 5, as he and Nadal qualify.

Canas wins in Ukraine: he needs one more win to actually increase his points.


Tomorrow,  Roddick plays Federer, Gonzo plays Davydenko.

Roddick can overtake Ferrer if he wins.

Gonzo and Davydenko join Djoko and Gasquet on the plane home.

No change in rankings as Roddick lost.

Now we have Roddick vs Ferrer in the semis to decide who ends the year as world #5.


Canas plays later.

Tomorrow,  Roddick plays Ferrer, Federer plays Nadal.

So it's Federer vs Ferrer in the final.

Ferrer goes back above Roddick and is world number 5

Canas won yesterday, and plays again later.

Tomorrow,  Ferrer can overtake Davydenko if he beats Federer

Ferrer stays at 5.
