I must admit, my theory was Booty that got annoyed about "Shagger" being more interested in the local women at each tournament than in training (not that this was necessarily true, but they sometimes gave that impression!) and wanted him to work harder and that's how the rot set in.

Neil has a much more plausible explanation for the split and Jamie's drift since.

Murray accepts that his head may have been turned too quickly when the decision was taken to split with Butorac. He was being wooed by those doubles stalwarts who did not come through for him.
