What a stunning win for Bloomers....last two weeks of the season for him (?), so needs some wins to secure a Aussie Open qualies place....currently on the brink at 299
Stadler was a tough opponent, top 200 and with a big leftie serve...he's gone deep regularly in challengers this year and won rounds in several ATPs...beat Donald Young in straights recently
Should be able to make quarters now and then there'd probably be 2nd seed Darcis who's ranked 101 but is beatable on this surface
Looks like a great win for Bloomers there, and hopefully this can re-start his season and he can have a good 2 or 3 weeks to set his up for next year. Stadler is a good scalp for him with the way he has playeds recently, so this coudl be what he needed
Not sure if they do livescore on court 3 will check earlier matches tomorrow
Actually, mjd, it's a noon start for the first match: Helsinki is two hours ahead of London! And only the results of the matches on the central court appear on the home page as & when, so no "live" scores as such for the other courts (results there, I've discovered, appear in the draw only when the people responsible for updating the site see fit to do so! ).
You mean noon GMT, so the match will be on about 3-4 pm. Wouldn't want you to miss it!
Oops! (Blush) You can see what I did - I added the 2 hours difference instead of subtracted - I think I would have realised tomorrow
Therehas been live scores today - on betting site, quite good, including point by point, deuce, adv etc - I actually followed the Fischer match. But cant remember if they included both courts!
Fischer is ranked 281 but given how high Bloomers has been he should win this.....Fischer musn't be underestimated though, he made quarters of the Barnstaple challenger and then lost a close match to Darcis (wr:101)
