You can certainly have your brownie points back now, in fact I'll even nominate you for the award for best 2nd and 3rd posts too.
Grundon, if you could do some analysis I'd be really interested to see the results. It's not something I've thought about as an issue before, but provided there are the stats to back it up you might be onto something!

That's fascinating. Of course you'd expect average age to go up with ranking simply because if you don't get high-ranked, you're more likely to drop out early.

He's made some money in the last few days, so hopefully he'll go to the Czech Republic and make his ranking good enough to get him directly into Futures next year.
Surely this puts him into the SF. I make it 6 points added so far putting Ken up to around 790. If he wins his semi, which is possible looking at the opposition, that would put him with an extra 12 points and up to 710. A win with 18 extra ranking points puts him up to 640. I might be, and possibly am, wrong, but this is great showing from Ken.

I've got some good news, you've forgotten to add the point Skupski won last week that hasnt' gone on yet. In this week's rankings (so a general figure for where he'd end up) Skupski would be at: lose in the semis: 774 lose in the final: 694 win the tournament: 630
And to answer my own question, this is his first semi. So s all round

Great stuff from Ken - could he be the first Brit to reach the top 500 for the first time since 2005? (not that I want to put the kybosh on him by saying that!)

Go Ken! Great result, am I right in thinking this is his first semi?
Do we know the opponent yet?
'Twas indeed. His next opponent will be Karatchenia and seeing their rankings are around the same it should be a close match. Although, Ken has made a point this week of seeing off those higher placed than he is.
Not quite the perfact day for young Ken: he & Goody lost their doubles SF to Bamfs & Pedersen 6-7(5) 2-6! The latter pair won't have it all their own way against our Belarussian friend, Karatchenia, & Vladimir Voltchkov in tomorrow's final, but here's hoping...
