Marx & Uebel were the second seeds, so not bad scalps for Bloomers & his German partner! thumbsup.gif  The top seeds, Dodig & Moser, are out, too, beaten by the French pair, David Guez & our old friend, Adrian Mannarino...! (Sorry, forgot to note the score!)

Decided against going tommorow, too much on.

Great win from Bloomers in the doubles.

I know what you mean - just as the 1st quarter opened up for Alex with Zverev's withdrawal after winning Dnepro, he gets the qualifier nobody wanted ... and Chramosta's not the Q/LL Slabba would have wanted to face either.

However, Beck lost to WR 112 in the L16 of the Tunis Challenger two weeks ago and to WR 574 in R1 of the Dnepro Challenger last week, so he's not unbeatable by any means. Admittedly not the R1 draw you want when trying to recover from injury and having 50 points to defend!

He wasn't that amazing before was he? Beck I mean, I don't remember him being a top notch player. Boggo's beaten players of his (former) calibre before...in a challenger you're inevitably going to play people with some sort of pedigree, that's the nature of the level. Come on Boggo!

He was inside the top 50 and on the up.

Anyways, I expect Alex to win this if he is fit. It's very difficult to play your best tennis after being out for so long, hence it is unlikely that we'll see Beck making a big impact this year.

beck isnt brill from the qualifers is he, he has had 3 matches here now and after a slow start won his 2nd 2 easy. if alex can get past him tho with mischa out it really opens up, till the semis and hasse. it just remaines to be seen how match fit alex is. (a sf would eb respectable considering the end to the year he has had)

beck has beaten Al once b4, back in surbs 04, 63 in the 3rd.

i hope the news surrounding brad doesnt put alex off at all, aparently all the papers etc have been phoing him constaantly :)
