Brad must be very worried. At least he is rich and worried. Better than being poor and worried.

If there was ever a player that needed mental coaching and an ability to win ugly it is boggo, at the moment he has the ability to lose while playing some really nice shots but his consistency problems are typified by today's result..

Bloomfield and Schoeck plus Flanagan and Allinson through to and meet in the doubles semis so definitely at least one Brit in the final

Goodall and Skupski miss out

It look like after that excellent win against Beck in R1, Boggo caught the British disease of playing like a muppet just when your draw has opened up, with Bloomers doing much the same. It was massive scalp for Slabba though.

So it's Slabba or bust here, who thought we'd be saying that! He has played Guez once before, losing 2 & 4 to him in Redbridge just over a year ago, with Guez going on to win the title. If he needs any additional incentive tomorrow though, a win would make him the first Brit in over two years to break into the top 500 for the first time!

He's also going to be in the GB top 8 come Monday.

From MTF:

"Today Start of play was delayed by 1 hour .." - it's indoors, so I've no idea why - a power cut, maybe?

Also from MTF:

"Who is this Slabinsky and how come he managed to reach QF?"

LOL smile.gif

lol. It does seem a bit strange to delay play indoors, unless the roof has a leak immediately above centre court or something. Power cut works too though. Or terrible traffic stopping theTournament Referee getting there or something similar.

Did you tell them who Slabba is?
