Exciting times as Andy potentially climbs back into the top ten. Did anyone foresee this when he took a hammering off Fognini. Think the general consensus was that early next year would be the soonest Andy made a decent impact anywhere.

I thought Nalby was a gonner three weeks ago but now he's the hottest tennis player in the world
I'm afraid I have to correct you there Johnny, Nalbandian could NEVER be the 'hottest tennis player in the world'. I will however agree that he's the most on-form tennis player in the world and quite possibly the best right now.

It looks as if Andy will need a good performance in the first week of the new season, since he is defending 175 points from Doha last year and has only 25 points as back up as his 19th result.
There must be a danger of him dropping into the 13 - 16 seeds for the Australian Open, which puts him in line to meet one of seeds 1 - 4 in the last 16.
In fact, in general it's going to be a tough job to make any progress on his ranking until after Miami next year. He'll do pretty well just to maintain his position.
It would have been so good if he had got to Shangai as I really think he could have won matches there with all those luvly ranking points
