lol, why the 6 month disappearances out of interest ? biggrin.gif

Really, really dodgy internet connection which awakens briefly and then dies for half the year......or very busy at work ? biggrin.gif

Been very busy with a few things and kind of forgot about this place for a while.  How could I !?   But decided to pop back in to see out the tennis year.

Strictly, though, the MC points do not drop off until 5 November, do they? Though I suppose as there are no more top level tournaments it makes no difference if we take them off a week early.

Yes, the MC points will be off in the next rankings, produced on Monday 5 November, i.e. the first rankings after the Paris Masters will have the 2007 Paris Masters added, the 2006 Paris Masters and 2006 MC taken out.

I just thought the idea of the live ranking was to guage how the next rankings were going to look.

But, wotever  biggrin

Done a bit of research, and the man with the lost ark is correct:

f.
The Entry Ranking period is the immediate past 52 weeks, except for:

*TennisMasters Cup, which is dropped on theMonday following the last ATP event of the

following year;

*Futures Series Tournaments,

- so I've done it wrong - I'll get me coat wink.gif

OK, that's the table sorted out.  I've added masters cup points to the "points defended" from last year. Unfortunately it doesn't correspond precisely to the Race positions as Canas has points from Challengers in his total, which don't count for the race.

Monaco has lost the first set and is a break down in the second smile

Hmm. Gonzo playing Youzhny. Both are fighting for the last two race positions. . . but Gonzo will almost certainly qualify, while Misha is still below Andy. I think I'll be shouting for Gonzo there!

Pity he is such an inconsistent so-and-so. . .

Haas losing to Tipsy would be good (says somebody who picked Haas in her Fantasy Team!) I read on another board a link to an article in German where he says he isn't very interested in going to Shanghai - WELL LOSE THEN!
