Laura reaches the final with a 76 64 win. worship.gif They lost in the doubles, though.


She faces Polina Rodionova of Russia in the final. Polina is 1992 born and ranked 240, which is moderately impressive. Laura has beaten far better players than her, so there's a good chance of her taking the title.




Also, only today I discovered that she is left handed. ashamed.gif

Quality results for Laura this week, her first G4 final ? Very impressive stuff, particularly in beating that Russian girl who's 250ish in juniors, and Laura's still only 13 !!

Has anyone here seen her play before ?

However, much more impressive than any of these main draw wins was her final round qualies result. She beat Steph Cornish 6-2 6-0 jawdrop.gifjawdrop.gif Cornish had just won 2 matches dropping just a handful of games and is good enough to have made a 10K semi a couple of weeks ago !

Yep, but she doesn't train with Saviano now. Is based at Win Tennis at Bisham Abbey these days.
