What a pity for Richard after that huge effort in the 1st set tiebreak - all credit to him though, the same certainly can't be said of the other two Bs, who should have been playing each other in R2.

how close by bloomers tho! i wonder if it was just serve dominated. i wonder if rich ahd any mp's?
things are really bad for boggo at the moment arn't they, since that back injury nothing has gone his way. He has got to try and scrape out of this year with a decent ranking, within the top 200, and then build his way back up during the indoor challenger season. although the DC selection could mess it up

For what it's worth, he has Andy's backing for the DC team - a short extract from the report in today's Times on Andy's prospects in the Paris Masters event:
The idea of getting a few more miles beneath his belt in the doubles came to naught after Andy and Jamie Murray were beaten 6-1, 2-6, 11-9 by Jordan Kerr, of Australia, and Andre Sá, of Brazil, despite holding two match points in the champions' tie-break. Andy was not too disillusioned after the match because he gave a ringing endorsement to Alex Bogdanovic's prospects of playing in the Davis Cup World Group first-round tie in Argentina next February, which will come as music to the ears of the British No 2, who is once again without a coach and straining for points on the Challenger circuit.
thanks for poiting that out SC, i think andy and alex get on quiet well and ist nice for alex to recieve encouragment from andy, would be nice to find out exactly want andy said, i wonder where the full interview is.
However the thing that really jumps put is that fact that alex no longer has a coach, so i guess the lta have done away with peter lundgern? or at least decided he shouldnt be with alex, maybe this is a reason he has been a bit under par?

i think i found it, andy and jamie where asked about the DC team:
I dont really care who is on the team, to be honest, as long as theyre playing well and deserve to be there, said Jamie, who has been trying out different doubles partners on tour and will be playing with Kevin Ulyett at the Australian Open.
His older brother was less open-ended in his prediction. Bogdanovic should be on the team. By far the best in terms of results and rankings, asserted Andy.
