I think this week we have seen a major contender for the best ever week's tennis. A few months ago in Montreal, people claimed Djokovic's wins over Roddick, Nadal and Federer consecutively was the best masters series performance ever but surely Nalbandian's victories over Federer, Nadal and Djokovic himself are much better. Especially as Nalby has been all but written off over last year to 18 months and is hovering around the 20 mark in ranking.
Simply awesome. On a similar note, the ATP home page claims Nalby is the first player since 1994 to beat top 3 players in world in consecutive matches but when Djoko beat Roddick in Montreal, he was world number 3. Or at least he was according to Djoko's player activity record on ATP's very own website. So surely he's just the first player to achieve this feat since Djoko in August???
However, I still think Nalby's performance exceeds Djoko's for the reasons stated. Many half expected that performance from Djoko at some point soon and that he was close to joining elite status and he simply confirmed that. I suspect NOBODY expected this from Nalby this week or maybe any week at any point in the future.
I still don't see this as some sort of breakthrough for Nalby with regard to winning slams though. I think this will probably be the highlihgt of his career along with the victory in Shanghai of course.

I think that Henman's win in Paris is better than this by quite some margin.
Henman, as you know better than me, had to beat Grosjean, Federer, Roddick and Kuerten. I think that they are better than Nadal, Federer, Djokovic and Berdych.
Federer was better then than he is now, think. This year he has lost quite a few (by his standards) and the defeat to Henman in Paris was his last loss for a while. Kuerten of end 2003 isn't too much behind Nadal on fast surfaces and although Djokovic is better than Grosjean, I'm sure Roddick is a tougher match on fast surfaces than Berdych is.
