Jade plays Katarina Steiro for place in main draw.....will be tough, Steiro has qualified for each of past two weeks and won a round both times. Last week she took set off 4th seed in rd2. She's made several 10K semis this year but been beaten in straights by Anna S and Amanda Carreras

anne keothavong facing wong the brit beater of the year.

lets hope they can all get it together

I've just looked at Jade's activity this year and she seems to be braving an awful lot of qualies. Credit to her that she's not sitting back and acculumating points through $10k DEs. Plus, she appears to get through them more often than not.

I confess to being pretty disappointed with her 2006 results, but she's made up a great deal of ground in 2007. What we need now is for her to turn her good £25k qualifying record into a good MD record.

Jade has been very unlucky with draws the last cople of weeks now, still good to see her qualifying yet again, U do have to feel sorry for olivia though, must be a very expensive trip.

Agree completley, she finally seems to be showing her true potential and i think theres a lot more to come. If she could end the year top 500 then she will have done great as at one times she went out of the top 1000. Next year a push towards the top 300 and higher should be her target.

all good! And she's steadily scoring points by qualifying for these 25k's. So glad the points system is a bit nicer to the women!

Nothing to lose vs Adamcak.

Why is it that the idea of teaming up in doubles with your first round singles opponent is so common in tennis? confused.gif I've always wondered about that...

It would make a lot of sense if doubles were played before singles, but that's rarely the case.
