I'm sure that Chardy loves playing Haase. He beat him in the final of Junior Wimbledon in 2005.

John Lloyd was at Barnstaple this week

I wanted to see some of our senior players as well as some of the juniors ahead of picking my Davis Cup squad in January, Lloyd said.

Tarka is a great centre, lovely place and it was great to get out and see players competing at this level.

Alex Bogdanovic injured himself which was a shame but there were patches of great play by Richard Bloomfield particularly in the second set of his match against Haase. I was also impressed by the attitude of Marcus Willis, one of our leading juniors.

Argentina will be the toughest test any of our players have ever faced given the quality of their team, the weather and what will be a pretty hostile crowd so I need to pick players who will thrive in that environment.

Im looking forward to the tie though and I maintain that with two world class players in Andy and Jamie Murray we have a chance of victory.

While Im in Europe Ill be travelling to Paris this weekend to watch Jamie and Andy in action at the Masters Series event next week and Ill also be spending some time with Jamie Baker in the near future too.

Nice of Lloyd to speak good things about Marcus.

And does he mean that he's going to select a Junior player for hitting partner? I don't think that it'll be a great idea.

For info Dan Cox is on a training week prior to going to the US thats why he is not playing here.

Cox is planning on playing Redbridge, Sunderland and possibly Shrewsbury challenger before heading to States for the two big junior tourneys

Anyone know what Josh plans to do next week? I hope that he'll attempt qualies in Aachen as he could get a good seeding in it.

Training week.  Shame he didn't play Aachen as he would have been seeded in qualies plus they have a live stream

He plays Eckental, Helsinki, Shrewsbury then either two Czech 15Ks in Dec/New Delhi 50K on dung

Grr... they are on hard courts. furious.gif

And why would he be doing Eckental? confused.gif He's entered for Redbridge. I think that he'll do the 15K in Sunderland, too.
